SongSpace is excited to welcome Antje Duvekot back to our stage! Antje has won top awards for her work, including the Grand Prize in the John Lennon Songwriting Competition, the prestigious, Kerrville (TX) “Best New Folk Award” and the Boston Music Award for “Outstanding Folk Act”. Now with her third studio release, “New Siberia”, she has performed in some of the top festivals and stages, including The Newport Folk Festival, Mountain Stage, and the Philadelphia and Kerrville Festivals. Internationally, she’s headlined the The Celtic Connections Festival in Scotland and the Tonder Festival in Denmark. Her music and her performances are funny, tender, perceptive and inviting.

Opening the evening is Pittsburgh-based singer-songwriter Kayla Schureman. Kiss the Ground, Kayla’s first full-length album, is a windows-down, whatever the weather, drive through the Americana soundscape. At times dark and desperate, each track still glistens with the hope of the great wide open, territory that Schureman narrates and navigates with one eye on the rearview and her foot on the gas.
